 Our Teachers

Lynne Officer
Lynne Officer was introduced to yoga in 1999 and fell in love at first handstand. She took the relationship deeper by completing an interdisciplinary flow teacher training course with an emphasis on alignment and awareness in 2008. She designs her classes for all levels and combines breath, physical alignment, and strength to cultivate harmony and balance in the body. She is dedicated to helping students become more conscious through connection to breath in movement and stillness and to have fun along the way. Her favorite thing about teaching Hoppy Yoga: “We do down dogs in breweries, this is serious yoga people!”

Mia Sabatino

Mia's style draws inspiration from a variety of yoga styles including Anusara, Iyengar, Hatha and Vinyasa flow and studied under Diana Beardsley, Michael and Amy Caldwell at YogaOne in San Diego. She teaches postures synchronized with breath to cultivate mind-bodyawareness.Initially drawn to yoga to improve flexibility and strength, she discovered a deeper experience and the immense benefits it brought to her life off the mat. She is a practitioner, passionate teacher, and mostly in it for Savasana. After Hoppy Yoga on off the mat, you can find her drinking a sour selection as her favorite post-class brew.

Kristina Koltai
Originally from Los Angeles, Kristina has resided in San Diego for over 14 years. Beginning her practice in 2002, Kristina experienced first hand how yoga changes both your quality of life and your response to life’s challenges. During her 200 RYT teacher training at YogaWell, she found her passion for Vinyasa yoga and discovered her desire to share this style of practice with others. The moving meditation of Vinyasa Yoga quieted her mind and brought her body to a level of physical well-being she’d never known before. Every day Kristina loves to share the transformative power of yoga with her students. She encourages her students to build greater self-awareness, empowerment, and peace through their yoga practice. The more she practices and experiences, the more she realizes that yoga is constantly opening her in ways beyond new flexibility and strength within her body. It is her hope to share the experiences and benefits of her own yoga practice with as many people as she can.

Mary MacDonald
As a personal trainer and exercise instructor, Mary started yoga practice through Yogafit in Vancouver BC, and it became a huge part of her life. She completed her Hatha Yoga 200 hr certification through Shambava School of Yoga at their Kona Ashram location, an amazing 3 week immersion. I taught in Washington state and at WWU before moving to San Diego four years ago. Mary teaches and trains people in many formats, but because of the energy surrounding yoga, she finds it to be at the heart of her focus.
